Yoga! Are you ready?

Before Spring Festival, I was not feeling quite myself. I often complained to my colleagues that I felt depressed and in no mood to do anything. They advised my to relax and have a good rest. One of my colleagues suggested that I join a Yoga club and take some classes. It proved a good idea afterwards.

Recently health issue is a common topic in our daily life. Many people choose to join different clubs to keep fit. Yoga is one of the activities. For thousands of years, people have used Yoga to help search for happiness and contentment. It’s claimed that it makes people feel relaxed and peaceful. I didn’t have this kind of experience and doubted whether it does me any good. In the hope of having a try, I registered in a Yoga club near my home. I just took a chance. My teacher is a fine lady 30 years old or so. She has a good figure which every one of us admires so much. On the first class, she instructed us that Yoga exercises are designed to put people in good physical condition. They can concentrate on deep thoughts without worrying about physical or mental discomforts. This is the key to keeping inner peace. Once you immerse yourself in a state of meditation, all your earthly cares and bothers will be gone. After some time, your temperament will soften and you don’t lose temper easily, either.

The second class, our teacher showed us how to put the body into different positions. Some of them are hard to learn. One of them is to fold our legs over one another. It’s called the lotus position. I think most of us have eve seen this motion on TV. I found it hard to stay in that position for even a few minutes. It’s uncomfortable. However, the main aim of Yoga is to train people to overcome the discomforts of the body. This teaches us the ability of endurance. As we all know, in practical jobs perseverance and endurance is an essential quality in dealing with everything. This is what I lack in my character. I am irritable by temperament. I think it is a good way to keep inner peace through Yoga to avoid the unnecessary conflicts in the relationships.

In addition to these strengths, Yoga is helpful to our sleeping system. It can cure people of insomnia through improving our nerves. Girls can keep slim and healthy. Many senior citizens still have a passion for Yoga. They are dynamic and enthusiastic to teach you how to put the body into positions. All things considered, I decided to continue my Yoga classes after the New Year. I benefit a lot from it.
