I have a dream that one day our school will rise up and live out the true meaning of the rank of the prestigious schools. We hold these truths to be self-evident that one day our school will be known to the academic world of the same levels. All our teaching staff are firm believers of this creed.

I have a dream that one day our school will become a beautiful place where the students hold a positive attitude towards study and compete against each other to be No.1.

I have a dream that one day we will have a larger campus, or rather an ecological garden in which all students are encouraged to explore the mystery of plants and animals in the nature and acquire the practical knowledge themselves.

I have a dream that one day our teaching facilities will be further improved and the infrastructures will be complete with the most advanced equipment as projectors, computers and the loud-speakers.

I have a dream that one day our teaching reform will be a success and all the middle schools throughout China will scramble to pay us a visit and modestly learn experience from us.

I have a dream that one day all the former alumni in and abroad will get together on our playground and sing the Alma Master to celebrate its rank to be the first-class middle school.

I have a dream that one day all our students could be admitted into their ideal universities as they expect and make greater academic achievements in their new circumstances.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day all the graduates from our school will become elites in every field of society and make a contribution to the modernization of our socialist China.

This is our hope. This is the faith that every member of No.1 Middle School sticks to. With this faith, we will be able to bring forth our potentiality to the uppermost. With this faith we will be able to transform our campus into a beautiful symphony of paradise. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go through fire and water together, to stand up for the dignity of our school together, knowing that we will be successful one day.

This will be the day, this will be the day when all the students in No.1 Middle School will be able to sing with new meaning “my campus, sweet paradise of growing up----to you I sing. Paradise where my brothers and sisters lived and studied let our dream ring!

And if our school is to be a famous one, this must become true. So let our dream ring…

Let our dream ring. And when this happens, and when we allow our dream ring---when we let it ring from the top of our teaching building, from the reading room of the library, from the gym, from every corner of our campus, we will be able to speed up that day when all of our students, boys and girls, country-born and city-born, Han nationality and minorities, will be able to join hands and sing in the motto of our school spiritual: the heavy load of responsibility lies in me. Hard-working makes a full man! We are born to succeed!
